I am very happy to be able to use my photography to help adoptable animals find their fur-ever homes. When you book a session with me, you are indirectly contributing to the life-saving services I provide to these animals through the Salt Lake County Animal Services shelter. Your support allows me to afford equipment, supplies, continuing education, and dog and cat treats, as well as the time to devote to photographing adoptable pets in Northern Utah.
With a large number of non-profit rescue organizations in the area who do an excellent job in finding furever homes for so many pets, I felt I might be able to best serve the adoptable pet population in Utah by working with a local county animal shelter. I am currently a regular photographer for the Salt Lake County Animal Services shelter. To see some of the animals I have photographed, take a look at my regularly-updated album.
The Salt Lake County Animal Services shelter is a high-volume, no-kill shelter in the heart of Salt Lake county. In 2014, they adopted out over 7,000 pets, including dogs, cats, and rabbits. With a large number of animals coming through their doors each day and limited resources, the shelter relies on volunteer help for many of its daily activities. With more and more people using the internet to find their new best friend, high quality photos are an important tool in matching adoptable pets with prospective parents, and I'm proud to be able to help dogs and cats (and rabbits!) find their furever homes. Quality photos significantly increase the chances that a pet will be adopted, and by booking a session with me, you are indirectly helping these animals. Thank you!
I am also a proud member of HeARTs Speak, a global network of photographers, writers, graphic designers, sculptors, painters, illustrators and animal advocates who provide our time and professional services, pro-bono to animal welfare organizations in our communities.
In February 2016, I was given the additional honor of being named Volunteer of the Month for the Salt Lake County Animal Services! It's a great honor, and I consider myself very lucky to work with the wonderful staff and volunteers at Salt Lake County Animals Services - it's a privilege to be able to help them introduce adoptable animals to people looking for their furever friends.
